I am Annabelle Charlotte Finch. I am nine years old.
On Sunday 16th July I walked roughly 15 kilometres for the Chichester Challenge.
The reason I did the Challenge was because my
Dad is a member of IRC and we got people to sponsor us to walk for IRC. In the end we raised about £250, it felt like the weight of the
world on my shoulders!
When we started off it felt like it would be easy but it was really boiling hot
and the paths were really rough and hard on the legs. When
we were near the finish line I never wanted to walk again but my parents and my
little sister Francesca encouraged me and we got there in the end.
I never would have made it if they hadn’t been
there for me.
As I crossed the finish line I was glad it was all over and sorry the car was
parked so far away. I said I would never do it
again but in the car on the way home I thought, “maybe next year?”
